Jeans for Genes Day
Year 1 have learnt all about Max, a special little boy with a genetic disorder. We talked about how his genes made him different - Max didn't have much hair, he could not sweat and didn't have any teeth.
Year 1, 2 and 3 had a visit from Sally- Anne Tapia-Bowes on Friday afternoon. All of the children enjoyed listening to her read some of her own stories as well as stories by other authors.
Year 1 are learning how to add and subtract using the 'Part Whole Method.' Here are some photographs showing the children working extremely hard and writing calculations to match their models.
